1. Information We Collect

a. Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Display name
• Authentication provider (Apple, Google, or Email OTP)

If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive Apple's private relay email address instead of your personal email. We do not receive your Apple ID password.

b. Speech & Audio Data

When you use recording features or interactive speaking games, we capture microphone audio. This audio is:

• Streamed in real-time to Deepgram, our third-party speech-to-text provider, for transcription
• Processed in real-time and discarded — audio is not stored permanently on our servers

c. Speech Analysis Data

Transcriptions generated from your speech are sent to our AI service (powered by Cerebras/Llama) for analysis. The following analysis results are stored in your user profile:

• Speech rate (words per minute)
• Filler word count and frequency
• Clarity score
• Confidence score
• Personalized feedback and recommendations

d. Game & Practice Data

We store data related to your use of the App's features, including:

• Game scores across all interactive speaking games (Speedrun, Teleprompter, Word Reel, Spin & Speak, Story Creation, Sentence Construction, Word Connecting)
• Practice session history and duration
• Daily streak data
• Filler word counts per session
• Total practice minutes
• Confidence scores over time

e. Subscription Data

If you subscribe to a premium plan, we store Apple's originalTransactionId for subscription verification purposes. We do not have access to your payment card details, billing address, or other financial information — all payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store.

f. Waitlist Information

If you join our waitlist through the website, we collect your email address to notify you about product updates and launch availability.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide real-time speech transcription and AI-powered analysis
• Track your progress, streaks, and improvement over time
• Deliver personalized feedback and recommendations
• Manage and verify your subscription status
• Send you waitlist updates and product announcements (if you opted in)
• Improve and optimize the App's features and performance
• Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
• Ensure the security and integrity of our services

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App. Each service receives only the minimum data necessary to perform its function:

• Supabase — Backend database, user authentication, and cloud functions. User data is hosted on Supabase servers in the United States.
• Deepgram — Real-time speech-to-text transcription. Audio is streamed to Deepgram for processing and is not retained by Deepgram after transcription.
• Cerebras — AI-powered speech analysis using Llama models. Transcriptions are sent for analysis; results are returned and stored in your profile.
• Apple StoreKit — Subscription management and payment processing. Apple handles all billing and payment information.
• Google Sign-In — Authentication service for users who choose to sign in with their Google account.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We only share data with the services listed above as necessary to provide the App's functionality.

4. Data Retention

• Audio data: Not stored. Audio is processed in real-time for transcription and immediately discarded.
• Account data, game progress, and practice history: Retained for as long as your account is active, or until you request deletion.
• Waitlist data: Retained until the product launches or you request removal.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Account screen within the App. Once deleted, your data is permanently removed from our systems and cannot be recovered.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Account screen in the App, or by contacting us directly.
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails.
• Data Portability: Request your data in a portable format where technically feasible.

6. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect it:

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encrypted connections
• Authentication tokens are stored securely in the iOS Keychain
• Row Level Security (RLS) is enabled on all database tables, ensuring users can only access their own data
• We use secure authentication providers (Apple, Google) with industry-standard OAuth protocols

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to maintaining the highest practical standards.

7. Children's Privacy

Articulate AI is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
